Student Involvement strives to connect students with opportunities for meaningful service at the campus, local, and global levels.

We provide opportunities on all campuses for students to help make an impact in the world through service, volunteerism, and servant leadership.

Get Involved in Your Community

Activating Community Transformation A.C.T. NOW

Through Activating Community Transformation (A.C.T.) students are able to connect with local community partners and get real-time alerts on one-time or ongoing volunteer needs that fit their schedule and passions. Join the movement, make a difference! A.C.T. NOW and spark community transformation.

Service Saturday

At least once a month the Office of Student Involvement hosts Service Saturday in partnership with 天美社区’s volunteer community partners. Students are sure to sure to have a fun and impactful experience. Service opportunities will rotate campuses each month.

Days of Service

OSI offers multiple Days of Service through the school year that work to bring together students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members to serve together. Everyone can find an opportunity to fit their interests and connect further with the 天美社区 Community!

Track Your Service Hours

Whether or not you are volunteering with a local organization or a 天美社区 club track your Service Hours in .

Examples of Volunteering That Can Be Logged As Service Hours:

  • Volunteer or service-learning experiences with organizations
  • Service hours done with a faith-based organization as long as direct service is offered to the general population with no faith requirement
  • Time spent completing required training for a specific volunteer activity
  • Virtual volunteer opportunities

Examples of Volunteering That Cannot Be Logged As Service Hours:

  • Any effort for which the student is paid (e.g. cash, gift card, etc.) or receives other significant compensation (e.g. anything of significant monetary value)
  • Driving time to and from volunteer experiences and travel, leisure, and sleep time on an away service trip
  • Shadowing experiences or self-improvement experiences
  • Hours for donations or time spent collecting items or donating money to organizations (this includes blood donations)
  • Time spent in general student club or organization activities, fundraisers for the student organization, and meetings. Specify all activities not related to the volunteer experience

Note: Not everything you submit will be approved. Approval is subject to the Office of Student Involvement.
