Guidelines

  • Applicants should review the Graduate Catalog section for their program before applying.
  • Application and all application materials must be submitted to Graduate Admissions, including Post Professional Physical Therapy applicants. Entry level Physical Therapy applicants apply through PTCAS.  Athletic Training applicants apply through ATCAS.
  • Non-refundable application fee of $40 is required for all applications.
  • Please allow three business days after submitting your application for processing. You will receive an email from grads@ung.edu after your application has been reviewed for accuracy and updated with submitted documents. Please do not check your application status prior to receiving an email from this office as your online application checklist will not accurately reflect the required items for your program of interest.
  • Only complete applications are forwarded to graduate programs for review.
  • The meeting of all admission requirements does not guarantee admission to the program. Final admission is a competitive process that takes all aspects of a student’s record into account.
  • Applicants receive notification from Graduate Admissions verifying acceptance or denial.
  • Applicants who were accepted, but do not enroll within three semesters, must reapply to the program by submitting a new application to Graduate Admissions.
  • Students who were previously enrolled but have not been in attendance within the last three semesters must reapply to the program by submitting a new application to Graduate Admissions.
  • Documents submitted to fulfill application requirements at 天美社区 become the property of the university and will not be returned.

Graduate Admissions Grade Point Average Calculation

  • For purposes of admissions, the overall grade point average listed on the degree granting institutions transcript is what is used for graduate admission grade point average.
  • For entry-level DPT applicants, grade point average is calculated by PTCAS, the application submission process through which all entry-level physical therapy applicants to the University of North Georgia must apply.
