Estimated Student Aid Funds

Grants and scholarships are offers that do not have to be repaid. The amount listed is based upon full time enrollment (12+ hours). If you are enrolled for less than full time, the offer will adjust to the eligible amount on your invoice.

Estimated Cost of Attendance

The estimated direct costs are those costs paid directly to the university and billed through your 天美社区 student account in the Bursar’s Office. Your direct costs will vary depending on things such as whether you are full or part-time, or if you have coursework that includes a lab fee, etc.

What other estimated costs should I prepare for?

Estimated costs include other expenses to attend 天美社区 for the semester(s) listed, not just expenses paid directly to 天美社区. This includes estimated cost related to books, course materials, supplies, and equipment, living expenses, personal expenses, transportation expenses, etc. Note: Food and housing will be paid directly to the University if you are living in on-campus housing.

Options to Pay

You may pay your remaining Direct Costs through payments to the Bursar's Office or make monthly payments by signing up for the payment plan. Loans are always optional and offered to you to assist in meeting your costs. If you wish to borrow loans, you must accept them in and complete a Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling on .

To Accept Loans, Work Study, or ROTC Grant Offer in Banner

After you receive your offer notice and have become familiar with your financial aid offer, what should you do next?  If you are offered any grant or scholarship money – (which does not need to be repaid, i.e., HOPE, Pell, etc.), these funds do not require acceptance on your part.  If you have been offered student loans, you may accept, decline or reduce the amount of loan you wish to receive or not receive.

To Accept Loans in Banner

  1. Log in to  and select the Student view
  2. Select the four-square icon in the upper left corner
  3. Select "Banner"
  4. Select "Student"
  5. Select "Financial Aid"
  6. Scroll down to “Options to Pay Net Cost”
  7. Under Loans you may select “Accept”, “Decline”, or “Modify” under the “Take Action” drop down.

Note: ”Accept” will accept the full amount and “Decline” will decline the full amount.

Note: If you select “Modify” you will be able to accept an amount other than the full amount of the loan offer.  For example, if you have $2,000 in loans offered, but would like only to accept $500, you will be “modifying” the loan amount to $500.

Rights and Responsibilities of Accepting Financial Aid

Accepting financial aid entails certain rights and responsibilities. When you are offered financial aid, it is critical that you read and understand the Financial Aid Policies. We strongly encourage you to learn as much as you can about the aid you are accepting and to know in advance what is expected of you in terms of your enrollment and academic progress.
